Station Playlist

Creator is a music and spot scheduling software.  It is used to design your station format using rotations of music categories and spot groups (jingles, ads, etc).

Rotations may be scheduled for specific hours of the day giving you full control over what types of music or programs are scheduled for different times of the day or days of the week.

Creator is capable of producing much more controlled and sophisticated scheduling than a basic random shuffle of your music.  Your listening audience will appreciate the difference.  Here are some examples of what is possible:

• Prevent two or more fast (or slow) tempo songs from being scheduled consecutively, unless that is desired.
• Schedule different genres of music at different times of the day, eg. slower songs in the evening, faster in the morning, Saturday night fast tempo party music.
• Schedule a specialty show with a specific set of genres at a specific time every day or week.

Once the station format has been designed, Creator generates sophisticated playlists (logs) in seconds, every day or every week.

The playlists contain the list of tracks which will play in your  broadcast playback automation system.  StationPlaylist Studio is highly recommended for best compatibility with Creator's features.

Creator can also be used with free players such as Winamp or Windows Media Player for low budget automation using theStationPlaylist Scheduler utility included free with Creator.

Studio is the on-air broadcast playback software for the studio, providing useful features for assisting the DJ during live shows, and for unattended automation with the StationPlaylist Creator track scheduler.

Any DJ can use this software.  An uncluttered screen and large control buttons makes this one of the easiest to use broadcasting applications available.

Studio takes the work out of managing multiple players.  Studio manages and controls multiple players internally for such purposes as automatic voice track / song intro overlapping.  Plus an advanced intelligent crossfader means that all tracks mix together perfectly with no human intervention.

Streaming your station on the Internet in multiple codecs is simple using Studio.

Many of Studio's advanced automation features require playlists generated by StationPlaylist Creator, however, it can also read standard M3U playlists generated by other software, and can be used as a DJ jukebox without a scheduler.  Tracks may be inserted or dragged & dropped from Windows folders.

Traffic/Billing log file import is supported via StationPlaylist Creator Pro.

Studio is primarily designed for audio, but it also supports playing videos and still images to the screen or separate monitor.

Remote Voice Tracker enables you or your DJ's to record voice tracks and edit playlists from home, or while away from the studio.  It will upload the voice tracks and modify the playlist logs back at the station.

Voice track recording enables an automated show to sound 100% live when using our Studio Pro automation software, with just a small percentage of time required, by recording voice tracks between the songs that have been selected by Creator, the scheduler.

Once a playlist is created for tomorrow or further in the future, the operator can see what songs are selected, and it is as simple as selecting a position between two tracks and clicking Record.

The voice track will play over the fading end of the previous song, and optionally overlap the instrumental song ramp of the next song while the song volume is reduced.  The DJ can sound better than live as the voice track can finish just before the vocals start in each song.

Voice track recording is also a feature of Creator Pro for voice tracking in the studio, however, Remote Voice Tracker may also be used in the studio to enable VT recording from additional computers.

Several Playlist Editor features from Creator are included in Remote VT, including song search/insert.

Streamer is a stand-alone stream encoder application for Windows.  This is designed to take the audio from the soundcard, optionally pass it through a software compressor/limiter, and encode the audio to a stream in various/multiple formats for broadcasting on the internet.

This software does not produce or play any audio.  StationPlaylist Creator and StationPlaylist Studio is designed for that purpose.

StationPlaylist Studio contains a stream encoder module but this is not suitable when using a mixing console.  Streamer is required to record the audio output from the mixer and encode it to a stream.

Streamer is also required when using 3rd party automation or media player software.

Stream encoding can be taxing on the CPU, and Streamer enables encoding on a separate PC away from the automation software.

Streamer encodes the audio to a stream and sends it to a stream server for distribution to your listeners.

Studio Pro supports a song request system where listeners may search for a song in your library and make a request from your website.  The requested songs may be inserted automatically in predetermined positions in the playlist while automated, or may be inserted manually by a DJ doing a live show.  Requests optionally include the name and location of the person requesting the song. Artist and song separation is available.

A voice track introduction may be inserted before every request to announce the following song is a request.  There are several other options and settings in Studio.

StationPlaylist offers spots dedicated to ads insertion. These ads sequences are listed in specific logs tables once they are aired, enabling your client to track their campaigns.

StationPlaylist is designed to work in parallel with the traffic Light software which is specialized in the management of ads and their invoicing
